Why sewing is important:
It is creative, teaches them self-sufficiency, problem solving and driving skills. It's entertaining! Teaching your children/grandchildren to sew is exciting and very rewarding, regardless of the amount of sewing knowledge of the parent. Allow your child to work at their own pace, don't expect perfection but praise them on the result.

Sewing is fun - the colours, the fabrics, and the styles. It's a wonderful experience to start with a flat piece of fabric, and with application of a few basic rules and methods, turn it into something wearable, useable, or otherwise enjoyable.
